The Moon holds the resources to reshape life on Earth.
At the heart of the race is Helium-3 — one of the Moon’s most valuable resources and a potential key to a new era of clean energy.
As nations established permanent footholds across the lunar surface, exploration gave way to competition. Territories were claimed. Resources were guarded. Old rivalries followed humanity into space.
What began as a race for progress became a struggle for power.

Born from the U.S. Space Force and its elite Astro Marine program, the US Lunar Corps are trained for warfare beyond Earth. Its soldiers are selected for missions where ordinary forces cannot operate — conditioned to survive, fight and push humanity deeper into the solar system.
Selection begins with the Crucible — a relentless series of physical and psychological trials designed to break even the most capable soldiers. Those who remain are rebuilt, conditioned through isolation, simulated zero-gravity combat and the constant pressure of survival in environments where a single mistake can be fatal. By the end of their training, they are no longer defined by the military branches they came from. They are Lunar Marines — a breed apart.
Built on a culture of pioneers, explorers and soldiers who have always pushed toward the next frontier, the Lunar Corps brings that same ambition to warfare. On the Moon, superiority is not simply an advantage — it is the objective.
When war erupted, that ambition shaped the force they became. The Lunar Corps did not simply adapt to the battlefield — they built to dominate it. Advanced exoskeletons, autonomous drones and specialized low-gravity warfare extended the speed, strength and reach of soldiers already trained to operate beyond ordinary human limits.

Born from the People’s Liberation Army Strategic Support Force, China’s lunar army was built around a single conviction: whoever controls cislunar space controls the Solar System.
For years, the SSF pursued that goal through diplomacy, technological superiority and the calculated expansion of its lunar stronghold, Wu Tian. Nothing was designed to operate alone. Soldiers, machines and battlefield systems were designed as parts of a single war machine — disciplined, interconnected and relentlessly efficient.
Rather than transport vast human armies to the Moon, China turned its industrial and technological power toward something far more formidable — a vast autonomous drone force built to fight as one. At its core are the warrior monks of the Order of the Black Dragon. Through advanced neural interfaces, they channel Qi, extending their will across an entire network of machines.
The result is a force of unnerving precision. Drones share battlefield data, move in perfect coordination and systematically isolate their targets. Each unit operates as part of a larger network — tracking, adapting and striking as one.
From Wu Tian, the SSF does not simply fight for territory. It turns the battlefield into a system — and every intelligent system can be controlled.

ROSCOSMOS

Born from General Pavel Golovkin’s ruthless vision, Roscosmos was forged from the hardened inmates of the Siberian prison system. Offered absolution in exchange for service to the Motherland, they were transformed through relentless training into a force built for the unforgiving realities of lunar warfare.
Cut off from much of the world, Roscosmos turned to its Soviet legacy — salvaging forgotten technology, rebuilding obsolete machines and weaponizing whatever could still be made to fight. Soldiers were pushed beyond human limits, machines were dragged back from obsolescence, and together they became something brutal, crude and terrifyingly effective.
When the Lunar Wars erupted, the Roscosmos Marines became infamous for their ferocity and devastating close-quarter combat. Augmented, expendable and relentless, they overwhelm the enemy through sheer violence and an almost total disregard for survival. From the L1 Base in Schrödinger’s Crater, they stand between the Motherland and anyone who dares challenge its claim to the Moon.

WHAT IS LUNAR WARS?
Lunar Wars is a fast-paced sci-fi tabletop skirmish game set on the Moon in the mid-21st century. Humanity has established a permanent presence on the lunar surface — but old rivalries have followed us into space. Players command small forces representing the competing powers fighting for control of the Moon and its strategic resources.
WHAT DO I NEED TO PLAY LUNAR WARS?
The easiest way to get started is with a Lunar Wars Army Starter Box. Each faction has its own Starter Box containing a complete starting force at a great value, including the physical miniatures, bases, rulebook and Unit Cards you need to begin building your army. Add dice, measuring tools and some suitable terrain, and you're ready for battle.
WHAT SCALE ARE LUNAR WARS MINIATURES?
Lunar Wars miniatures are produced in 32mm heroic scale, combining detailed characterful miniatures with forces small enough for fast-paced skirmish gaming. For players who prefer a different scale, Lunar Wars miniatures will also be available as digital STL files, allowing you to print your forces at the scale of your choice.

WHAT DO I GET WHEN I BUY LUNAR WARS MINIATURES?
Lunar Wars is primarily a physical miniatures game. Our boxed miniature sets contain highly detailed 32mm miniatures, bases, and Unit Cards featuring each unit’s game stats and special abilities. This means the information you need to field your new units is right there in the box.
WILL LUNAR WARS ALSO BE AVAILABLE AS STL FILES?
Yes. Digital STL collections will be available during the Lunar Wars Kickstarter campaign.
While physical boxed miniatures are the main focus for the Lunar Wars range, we also want players to have the freedom to experience the game at different scales. Digital STL collections will therefore be available for hobbyists who want to 3D print Lunar Wars miniatures at a scale of their choice.

Each Lunar Wars faction has its own Army Starter Box, designed as the ideal entry point into the game. WHEN WILL LUNAR WARS BE AVAILABLE FOR PURCHASE?
Lunar Wars launches on Kickstarter on October 24, 2026, giving backers the first opportunity to secure their miniatures. Following the Kickstarter campaign and fulfilment, the game is expected to become available through retail in September 2027.
